The NXT brick is the "brain" that controls your robot. It is a 32 bit micro-processor which receives its power from a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack.
There are three output ports labeled A, B, and C. The NXT comes with three motors that connect to the output ports. In most instances, two motors are used to move your robot within its environment. The third motor can be used as an arm for picking up or moving objects.
There are four input ports on the NXT. By attaching sensors, the NXT can be programmed to react to the physical environment.
